The following page contains a few reasons why I think you should switch from PocketQuicken to PocketMoney. (This applies to the Newton OS versions of PocketMoney and PocketQuicken. PocketMoney is also available for PocketMoney for Palm OS.)

So, you don't think I'm the only person with this opinion-- here are some freely given endorsements by users.

PocketQuicken cons:

  1. SLOW
  2. Uses a lot of memory (heap hog)
  3. Doesn't handle multilple currencies or split categories
  4. PocketQuicken Connect costs $30 extra
  5. Awkward 'spur of the moment' use (entering purchases).

PocketMoney pros:

  1. Fast-- even with thousands of transactions
  2. Memory efficient
  3. Handles multiple currencies and split categories
  4. Exporting to desktop applications in included
  5. PocketMoney button lets users enter 'spur of the moment' purchases quickly.
