NewtGrocery Reference 5 - Comparison Information

The Comparison Information section lets you determine the unit price of an item, when sold as multiple units, as a package or as a dozen.

The first popup lets you select the quantity. The second popup allows you to pick a format. As an example, if you're buying a can of 12 fl. oz. of juice, you can easily determine what is the unit price of a single fluid ounce. You could also, like seen in many stores, determine the price for a certain number of units, like the price for 10 fluid ounces. NewtGrocery, based on the selling price will determine the price for the quantity and the format you picked for the comparison. Again, as for the buying information, if you define an item being sold as 10 in a package, selecting one unit in the comparison will give you the price of a single item in the package. NewtGrocery can also make metric conversion, for similar measurement units. You can use the comparison info to determine, for instance, what is the price for a single liter of milk, with the milk being sold as a gallon.
