Surviving Katrina/New Orleans
This fire is over in Gretna where I used to do my grocery shopping -- 38 years ago.
I've relied on the folks at DirectNIC for 14-15 years to manage my domain names, DNS, redirection, etc.. They're in their office in a skyscraper in downtown New Orleans with enough battery power for about three more weeks. They have an occasional webcam up -- and you can find that link [when it's up and running, Windows Media Player] below at the blog they're maintaining, as well.
Update: looks like they have a stable feed for their webcam, out the office window, again.
It's a survivalist blog -- which is exactly what they're trying to do.
