powerPen QuickPort QuickPort is a global transport that lets you easily get your Newton information to any computer that supports a simple terminal emulation program. QuickPort works with any Newton 2.0 application that supports e-mail routing, including all the built-in applications! This software is provided free of charge by powerPen Software, part of the software engineering program at Washington State University. Getting Started To send text from Newton to your desktop computer, install QuickPort on your Newton and do the following: 1. Connect your Newton to your desktop computer with a serial cable. 2. Launch a terminal emulation program on your desktop computer. 3. Configure the terminal emulation program for: - 9600 baud - 8 data bits - 1 stop bits - No parity 4. On Newton, find the items you like to send. 5. Tap the Action button. 6. Choose 'QuickPort'.
