Pkg Info

2.x only. Select package(s) in Extras, select "Pkg Info" in action menu.
Displays information about an application, book or autopart(extension)
[not storage or built-in apps]:
- package name
- *version; (2.x); # parts
- store name: size in bytes (and compressed size if applicable)
- creation date and time
- developer copyright

If you select a built-in or copy-protected package, PkgInfo pops up a menu of package names.


Let me know if this is useful, and what other info you would like to see
(assuming it's available, it fits and I have time).  If you have Freeze Utils
(from Standalone), you don't need this -- use its "Package Info" command.

  added * before Version if package is frozen

- 1.0e (25 Sep 97):
  fixed (typo) error when PkgInfo removed
  after version: adds "2.x" if package is 2.x-only; adds number of parts in package
  before copyright: adds bullet if package is copy protected
  earlier, if you selected a built-in or copy-protected package, PkgInfo did nothing;
  now, it pops up a menu of package names (unless you're in Storage or All folders)
- 1.0d (10 Sep 97): minor cleanup
- 1.0c (22 Aug 97):
  yet another surreptious way to get the PkgInfo item to appear in Extras menu
  moved package name to top/title line (and PkgInfo credit to 2nd line)
  store name precedes size, e.g., Internal: 3380
- 1.0b (25 Jun 97): Pkg Info should now appear in menu after reboots (deferred install)
- 1.0a (19 Jun 97): first version

PkgInfo is freeware, and freely distributable. Check web site for news, new versions.
