Thank you for trying WinNewt 1.11! Here are a few steps to get you started: If you want to build an application from scratch, start by selecting "New Layout" from the File menu. Select "App" from the buttons or the drop-down list box on the Tool Palette. Then move the mouse to the Layout window and drag out the size of your application. Add a few views like a TextButton or an InputLine in the same way. If you want some help lining them up, you can turn on the AutoGrid under the Layout menu. Open the Browser window by selecting "Open Browser" under the Windows menu. Play around and edit various parts of the views. You can save your work (when you have the registered version), export it to a text file, print it out, or download it directly to Steve Weyer's Newt 3.1 (or later) development environment if you have Slurpee 1.6 (or later). There are more detailed instructions about building your first WinNewt application in the help file, WINNEWT.HLP, under Getting Started. If you haven't read the README.TXT file yet, you probably should. Have fun and don't forget to register WinNewt and Newt!
