(Shareware $10) % MailSaver : will save inbox items to the NotePad without the header information Installation: Install all of the programs (Aloha.pkg, Register.pkg, InBox.pkg) in the "Install Us" folder. You can select all three programs by holding the shift key down and click on each icon, and then drag and drop the three programs onto the "Newton Package Installer" icon. On your Newton you must use Extras->Connection to download the programs into your Newton. Using Aloha for the first time and registering: The combination of Aloha and Register bring a special feature to AOL users. You can now pay for software online with a credit card. 1. Run Aloha. Tap Extras->Aloha. You have 7 days to demo Aloha. 2. Before you can send the mail you must fill out your AOL information. a. Tap the [ i ] info-button and then Prefs in Aloha. b. Fill in your account name. c. Fill in the phone number that you connect to AOL with. This must be a SprintNet access number. d. Set your password. Tap Set Password button. Enter your AOL password. Tap Set. e. If you are connecting to a 300,1200, or 2400 baud SprintNet number you need to check the "mode <=2400 baud" option. (Or else you will get stuck at "Requesting Network Attention") 3. Make sure your modem is connected to the Newton, the phone line and the power supply. 4. All that is left to do is check the send and receive boxes in Aloha and tap Connect. 5. If Send Mail is checked Aloha sends any mail in your OutBox. If a mail has an attachment it sends the text only. After the message is sent it is deleted. 6. If you have Receive Mail checked and Aloha finds mail you will hear an thunk sound. Mail from AOL with attachments are ignored. Large mail is split into multiple pieces. The InBox will be opened for you after Aloha disconnects if it downloaded mail. Registering Aloha with Register: 1. Run Aloha. Tap Extras->Aloha 2. Tap the black shield with the embedded $ sign. This will launch Register. 3. Fill out the information. You will notice Aloha's information is filled out already and you need to finish filling out the form by entering your credit card information. Your credit card information is encrypted before it is emailed so you need not worry about casual eyes stealing your credit card information. NOTE: If you want to take advantage of the $5.00 off offer then you need to change the "Price $" to 45 manually. (Make sure you do step five.) 4. When the information is filled out then you need to tap the envelope icon and tap mail. This opens the mail slip. Tap Mail and your registration for Aloha will be placed in the outbox awaiting delivery. The e-mail must be sent to "shareware@kagi.com" to be processed. Do not send the e-mail to me. Kagi Software will send me a copy of your receipt so that I can process your registration. You can close Register now. 5. Don't forget to take advantage of the $5.00 off offer.
