MoreInfo 2.5 DEMO Read Me



Welcome to an exciting program for your Newton!  MoreInfo(tm) is an application that greatly enhances the built-in applications in your Newton.  MoreInfo adds an additional button to the status bar of the Name File, Date Book and Notepad.  From each of these buttons, you can easily make appointments, schedule events (day notes), add To Do reminders and record contact information with special designed slips.  Also, from any of these buttons you can view your agenda of appointments, events and To Dos for a time period you specify.  With the button in the Name File, you can save important additional information in one of several forms.  MoreInfo's specially designed forms include: other addresses, other e-mail addresses, company information, family information, account information, travel directions and custom information.  



Included with every copy of MoreInfo's 2.5 is Wake Up Week.  Wake Up Week is an application allowing you to view at a glance all of your appointments, events and To Do reminders.  Now with Wake Up Week, you can view and edit all of your upcoming appointments, events and To Dos from one convenient screen.



MoreInfo allows you to make appointments, schedule events, add To Do reminders and keep a Contact Log for each name in your Name File.  MoreInfo even allows you to save To Do reminders to a Notion(tm) list or to NotePak(tm).  Entries created with MoreInfo can have an enhanced alarm attached to them.  When an alarm is sounded, it can be put to sleep for a specified amount of time.  You also have the ability to jump directly to the person in the Name File with whom the appointment, event or To Do is with.    Through a user preference, these alarms can be made to repeat notifying you every few minutes that an event is pending.



MoreInfo's integrated contact manager allows you to view past contacts as well as upcoming appointments, events and To Dos for each person in your Name File.  MoreInfo will automatically prompt you to log past appointments, events and completed To Do reminders.  You can also easily navigate directly to them in the Date Book when viewing the Contact Log.    MoreInfo completely supports the Newton Connection Kit and allows you to edit the additional "MoreInfo" from your Macintosh or Windows computer.  By supporting the Newton Connection Kit, MoreInfo allows you to import and export all of the data MoreInfo saves for a person, including contact log information.





INSTALLATION



MoreInfo is approximately 415K in size and Wake Up Week is approximately 150K.  MoreInfo and Wake Up Week perform equally well on the internal store or on a card.  Just remember,  if either application is on a card which is then removed, you will loose access to the features supplied to you by that application.



Once installed, MoreInfo and Wake Up Week are automatically activated.  MoreInfo will install an "MI" button in the status bar of the Notepad, Name File and the built-in appointment slip.  It will also add an "M" button to the status bar of the Date Book.

MoreInfo DEMO



This DEMO version of MoreInfo is fully functional!  There are two important differences between this demo and the real version.  This DEMO version only allows you to use MoreInfo for a period of one week.  At the end of a week, the buttons MoreInfo adds will no longer be available.  At any time, this DEMO version can be unlocked and made a full working version (see Unlocking MoreInfo demo outlined below).  This version also does not include Minck (MoreInfo Newton Connection Kit Tool) which provides NCK support for MoreInfo.  A GIF screen shot of the Macintosh NCK when editing MoreInfo information is available from SilverWARE.  Users of the Windows Connection Kit should note that although all of the "MoreInfo" is editable and exportable, only a portion of the additional "MoreInfo" fields are editable directly from the Windows Connection Kit.  This is due solely to a limitation in the Windows NCK.





Unlocking MoreInfo DEMO



This DEMO version of MoreInfo can be unlocked with an access key allowing you to convert it to a full working version.  If you have decided you would like to purchase MoreInfo, go ahead and contact SilverWARE with your seed key to get your access key to unlock this demo.  To get your seed key, first go to MoreInfo's main screen which is displayed when the MoreInfo icon is tapped from within the Extras Drawer.  Then tap the PurchaseI button.  This will display a window which will show you your seed key and also allow you to enter your individual access key.  Once you have received your access key, go ahead and enter it in the access key field and tap Unlock.



You only need to perform the unlocking procedure once.  After you have unlocked the DEMO version, you will then be able to download subsequent versions via your preferred online service and have it be a full working version.



Existing MoreInfo 2.5 users can contact SilverWARE to get an access key so that they to can enjoy the convenience of downloading and using the most up to date version.





MoreInfo German Version



MoreInfo is also available in a native German version.  Those users interested in this version should contact SilverWARE.





Wake Up Week



This version of Wake Up Week allows you to use the software for 30 days on your Newton.  If you purchase MoreInfo 2.5, you will receive a full working version of Wake Up Week.







PowerNames



Those using PowerNames 1.02 or 1.1 in conjunction with MoreInfo will now need to use PowerNames 1.11.  Doing so will allow you to enjoy the features MoreInfo provides that rely on the information saved by PowerNames.







GETTING STARTED



Be sure to explore all of the features in each of MoreInfo's slips.  Start by opening the Name File and tapping the "MI" button located in its status bar.  Select each of the options in the pop-up list to see what each one offers.  Also be sure to read the DON'T MISS heading later in this read me for some especially valuable features contained in MoreInfo.







FEATURE SUMMARY



From the Name File, Date Book and Notepad you can use MoreInfo to:

* Make an appointment,

* Make a repeating appointment,

* Schedule an event (day note),

* Schedule a repeating event,

* Add a To Do to the built-in list, a Notion list or NotePak,

* Record a Contact note.

	

	(All of the above features can be performed for the following)

  - the currently viewed person (Name File only).

  - a person associated with the card (other company employees, family members, etc.)

  - another person in your Name File, which you can quickly search for.

  - a new person, which you added using MoreInfo prior to scheduling the new entry.

  - a person from the list of frequently used names collected by PowerNames

     (PowerNames is a separate application also by SilverWARE).



* Open up Wake Up Week and view your agenda at a glance. 





From within the Name File you can use MoreInfo to:

*Use a person's Contact Log to view their past contacts and upcoming ones.

*Log an appointment, event or To Do for a person to their Contact Log. 

* View/Add/Edit additional "More" information such as:

  - add/edit travel directions for someone to the Directions Form.

 - add/edit company employee's, their title, phone and e-mail to the Company Info Form.

  - add/edit someone's spouse's name and children's name to the Family Info Form.

  - add/edit custom information by editing the labels and text for one of 12 fields.

  - and much more!



From within the Date Book, you can use MoreInfo to:

* Jump directly to a person's card with whom you are scheduled to have an appointment, event or To Do.

* Attach a person or company name to an already existing appointment or event.

* Add/Edit an alarm for an appointment or event.



Using Wake Up Week, you can:

* View past and upcoming appointments, events and To Do reminders for a specified time period

   (i.e. a day, a week, two weeks, a month . . . . . . .)

* Add new entries using MoreInfo's "New" slips.

* Edit existing entries using MoreInfo's "Edit" slips.







DON'T MISSI



There are new features to MoreInfo 2.5, which you should not miss!  We hope you will agree that these features along with those listed above, make MoreInfo the contact manager/Newton enhancement product of choice.



* Tap on the small icon of the face in the New Appointment, Event, To Do and Contact slips to search for a name in your Name File.

* Drag over several days in the New Appointment or Event slip to create a repeating appointment.

(Supports vertical selections of the calendar also).

* Tap on the day of the week in the New Appointment and Event slip to create a repeating appointment for that day of the week for that whole month.

* Tap the Repeat button in the New Appointment or Event slip to make them repeating.

* Tap on the month in any calendar in a MoreInfo screen to jump quickly to a month.

* Install SilverWARE's PowerNames 1.11 Demo.  Frequently used names will be added to the pop-up list wherever a name can be selected.

* NotePak users can now select the subcategory when adding a new To Do.

* Select the Add New Name choice from the "With" pop-up list and add a new name and then go ahead and schedule the appointment with them.

* Tap on an existing appointment or event from within the Date Book to open the appointment slip.  Then tap on the "MI" button and attach a name to that appointment using MoreInfo.

This Demo version of MoreInfo can be freely distributed amongst fellow Newton users.
