Toad Hollow Software Co. is pleased to announce the release of Holidays98, 

a NewtonOS 2.0 freeware utility that adds eighty U.S. civil, Christian,

and Islamic holidays to the Newton datebook.  These holidays are entered 

in the datebook just as if you added them in the usual way, so after 

adding them, this package can safely be removed from your Newton.

Please note that all Islamic dates are approximate since they are based 

on predicted lunar observations.  As is the custom on civil calendars, 

all Jewish holidays are shown on the appropriate day even though they

begin at sundown on the previous day.  If users decide that they don't

need all these holidays, they can simply search for the string "1998"

in Dates and delete the holidays they do not need.  It may take a 

minute or two on older Newtons to add all eighty holidays, so a small

progress bar is displayed.
