What It Is & What It Does:
	
	Trash Folder is a simple Newton application that lets you delete all the notes
	from any folder you choose.  
	
	You select a folder, and Trash Folder will then delete every note it finds in 
	that folder.
	
	Trash Folder is useful if you want to delete old folders, or use one or more
	folders for temporary items.  For instance, I kept all of the source code for
	Trash Folder in a temporary folder.  When I was certain I was done with the
	project I saved all the source to my Mac and then deleted all the source from
	the temporary folder by using Trash Folder.
	

How It Was Developed:

	Trash Folder came about because a friend needed a utility to quickly delete all
	the notes in a folder.
	
	Trash Folder was developed ON my Newton (not on a Macintosh or Windows pc) using
	Steve Weyer's amazingly wonderful Newt 3.0 developement platform.  Newt 3.0 allows
	you to develop complete NewtonScript applications that produce true Newton packages
	on your MessagePad.  The actual package was then extracted by synchronizing my Newton
	using the Apple NCK and then pulling the package from it via the shareware
	ExtractPackages 1.1.
	
	This is a non-NTK produced package.
	

How To Use It:

	Trash Folder is very simple to use.  Launch the package from the Extras drawer,
	select the folder you want to work with from the folder tab at the top of the screen.
	Then hit the "Trash" button.  You will be asked to confirm your selection.  If you wish
	to go ahead, merely tap the "Trash" button again, otherwise hit the "Cancel" button. 
	Trash Folder will keep you updated on its progress.
	
	Trash Folder also has a simple 2 step online help, and an about box with version and
	contact information.

	Newt allows you to write your own expressions and methods in NewtonScript for
	developing applications, and execute them directly on your Newton.
	NewtonScript (NS), Newton's built-in, object-oriented (o-o) language, shares
	ancestry with dynamic o-o languages like Smalltalk, Self, Common Lisp, and
	ObjectLogo. NewtonScript is the same language that is used by Apple's Newton
	ToolKit (NTK). For more advanced users, familiarity with o-o concepts and
	constructs would be useful; for others, Newt should serve as a brief
	introduction to these ideas.  

	Newt 3.0 provides the ability to create real packages directly on the Newton
	(this requires the NewtPack plug-in included).
