Accessor 1.0 There are a lot of utilities for getting around the inadequacies of the Extras Drawer. Accessor is my contribution. Accessor provides access to the builtÐin applications (Calculator, Inbox, Time Zones, etc), installed applications (the windows scrolls so memory is now your only limit), and books. Accessor also provides quick and easy way to toggle between the card and internal store. Lastly, against Apple's directives, Accessor provides a quick and easy way to toggle between user hand writing recognition settings and guest hand writing recognition settings. Ê Accessor installs three buttons in the Notes status bar. Ê This button opens Accessor. Ê This button toggles between user and guest hand writing recognition settings. "U" indicates user's settings, a "G" indicates guest's settings. Ê This button toggles between Newton's internal memory and external card memory. This is normally done by tapping the "Store new items on card" checkbox in the window that opens when you insert a card. Ê Indicates external memory Ê Indicates Newton's memory. When a card is first inserted or the Newton is first turned on it is possible this indicator will be out of sync. That is, it might indicate the Newton's memory is currently selected when if fact the card is currently selected. One tap will sync it up. Ê Accessor separates builtÐin applications, installed applications, and installed books into separate groups. Tapping on the appropriate tab ("BuiltÐIn", "Installed", or ""Books") will list the associated items in the window. Tabs will only appear if items of that type are installed. So, if you don't have any books installed, the "Books" tab will not appear. The window can be scrolled by tapping the built in arrows (this window has no overview). Tap on an application name and Accessor will automatically close and the selected application will open. Prefs & Credits lets you turn off any or all of the buttons and tells you who is responsible for this collection of bits. I need to give credit to Basuke who kindly shared a bit of his magic with me.
