DreamSoft Games Collection Release Notes:


DreamSoft was formed by managing director Steven Sims in October 1993
specifically to develop software to exploit the Apple Newton.

Since then we have worked with a number of major corporations,
including Apple Computer UK and KPMG, to produce Newton-based solutions
for various problems.

Over the past year in our free time we have written some Newton games
to amuse ourselves, and as a convenient demonstration of our
programming abilities.  Recently we have found some time to tidy these
games up a little.  We will not pretend that they are perfect in any
way, but some of them are fun.

Full descriptions and instructions are contained within all the games,
however here is a brief guide:

Bomb Game:

A 2-6 player critical mass game.  Players take it in turn to place
bombs on a grid, whose squares will explode when too many bombs are
placed.  The winner is the last player left alive.

Hangman:

Our own version of the classic game. This is for one or two players.

Pairs:

Another classic.  Match the pairs of cards to win.

Number Invaders:

Shoot the invading stream of numbers.  ItÕs a bit odd, but should be
familiar to people who had the original game-on-watch or calculator
games.


These games are compatible with all versions of Newton we have seen,
i.e. AppleÕs Newton MessagePad, MessagePad 100, MessagePad 110, and
SharpÕs ExpertPad.
It should also be compatible with the Simens/Rolm NotePhone, the Apple
Newton MessagePad 120, and all future Newton devices.  If you have any
problems then please donÕt hesitate to contact us.

Pairs and Bomb Game also both actively adjust to screen size, and
should allow game play areas to cover anyting up to the entire screen
of your Newton.  (Both actually already give larger grids on classic
MessagePadÕs and MessagePad 100Õs than 110Õs).

The first release of this DreamSoft games collection was on October
12th 1994 at the UK Apple Expo 1994.  This release was revised on
November 29th 1994.
