What is DragNDrop Names ========================================================================= DragNDrop Names is an enhancement to the Names application that makes adding new names easier. Just drag text onto the Names window to instantly add new names to your Names soup! What's new in DragNDrop Names 2.0? ========================================================================= o Significantly enhanced parser. What's new in DragNDrop Names 1.2? ========================================================================= o When DragNDrop Names creates a new card, it displays the card for further editing. What's new in DragNDrop Names 1.1? ========================================================================= o If you prefix the first line with "Co:", DragNDrop Names will create a company card instead of the usual person card. System Requirements ========================================================================= Any Newton running Newt OS 2.x and 7K of storage space. Installation ========================================================================= Installation is simple. Install AlarmClock using Newton Backup Utility(tm) or any other package downloading utilities. Usage ========================================================================= To add new names via DragNDrop Names into the Names soup, you simply drag text onto the Names application. The text must be of the following format: DragNDrop Names syntax is: [] \ Note 1 [] / [ | ]* [] \ [] | [] > Note 2 [ ] | [] / [ | ]* Note 1: Either a name, company, or both may be specified Note 2: Elements of an address may be combined onto the same line, and separated by commas. E.g. "Newton, MA 02165" has and elements. A is tested for the more common honorifics: Mr., Ms., Miss, Mrs., Dr., Rev. Any line that begins with "Co:" is considered to be a . Additionally, any line that ends with "Inc.", "Co.", or "Ltd." will be considered a . Any line with an "at-sign" ("@") is identified as an email address. A telephone number may be prefixed by "h", "w", "home", "work", "fax", or "car", with an optional colon, to identify the number in the new card. Any other lines that aren't identified as something else are collected together and added as a note to the new card. After dragging text onto Names, DragNDrop Names will automatically create a new name to add into your Names soup!
