Med-Notes is an advanced patient data collection system for the Newton from
ProAccess Systems Inc. and Education Research Laboratories, Inc.
(ERLI).  This outstanding data management tool includes an enhanced patient
encounter format which includes SOAP, lab and Rx fields, extensive quick pick
word lists associated with up to 16 chief complaints, and excellent data entry
performance with scrolling data windows.

Med-Notes is a data gathering program for a medical professional who needs
to collect, organize and communicate the "Who, what , when and where"
information for the patients they see as they work outside their office.

The most important aspect of the program is its ability to provide extensive 
quick-pick word lists to build a medical report. This avoids the problems with
handwriting recognition. 

"Med-Notes"  now has over 40 medical lists sets available to the user. Each list set 
is a group of 8 word lists that are customized to a particular type of patient. 
Fourty one lists sets exist and more are under development. The 16 sets chosen 
by the user to match their practice, can be downloaded from a Macintosh. The 
downloader/Backup software is available now. The list sets have been 
developed by physicians at Education Research Laboratories Inc.  A Windows version
is under development.

The enclosed programs are demonstration versions that are limited to 4 patients
as shown on the first screen. The commercial version is available from ERLI.
 The latest status and the program itself is available from ERLI.

Please, read the enclosed Software License for this product. Using this
product is a statement that you have agreed to the conditions of that license.  
Do not use the product if you are unwilling to agree to the license. This is an
agreement required by Apple Computer, ERLI and by ProAccess Systems Inc. 

The program package includes the main program, "Med-Notes", and a utility 
program, "MedNotesData",  for initial setup. The utility program can be removed
after installation to save memory space.

	failure to update CC name in encounter if set in "Who" screen).  Extended the
	expiration date from 5/1 to 6/1. 
Version 0.998 5/26/95 Fixed bugs in the list editor and in the encounter scroller 
	function when more than 20 encounters exist. Added 11 new medical list sets
	that allow the user to assign patients to 13 different Chief Complaints.
Version 0.999 6/23/95 Fixed bugs that prevented saving graphics under some 
	conditions in the encounter. Added memory monitor functions to warn 
	when available memory falls below that needed. Fixed one word list that 
	had unusable sections. Limited maximum number of patients to 4, but removed
	the time limits on operation ( it does not expire).
Version 0.999c 7/5/95  Added alpha sort to word lists, Added patient sort by room 
	number in Choose Patient Screen. Fixed save/delete bug in summary screen. 
	Cleaned up operation of delete patient function.  
Version 0.999g 7/9/95  Added mark/unmark by user to patient records. Fixed a bug 
	in the Communcation screen when user tries to fax one record without picking
	a record first. Limited demo to 4 patients but unlimited expiration time.

	backup capability to a Macintosh application "MedNotesLink". Wordlists can now 
	be created and downloaded from the desktop.

Version 0.999x    10/27/95 Fixed a bug in resetting the print flag when editing old 
	encounters.  Fixed another bug that turned on graphics mode when scrolling to

Version 0.999z   11/21/95  Upgraded to run under Newton OS 2.0 but untested on actual
	hardware.  Fixed beaming to another Newton to save the latest changes before 
	the Beam. Added repair function in Housekeeping screen.  Fixed deletion of a 
	patient to also remove Summary sheet.  
Version 0.999z1  12/6/95 minor changes to match version 1.5 MedNotesLink Mac app.
Version 0.999z3   12/18/95  First OS 2. Compatible version for use on Model 120
	upgraded to OS 2.0.  This release also includes Demo of Macintosh backup 
	application. 	
Version 0.999z5   2/1/96 Fixed a bad bug from the OS2 conversion. This version 
	runs on 100 , 110, 120, and 120 upgraded. This version also talks to a new 
	version of the Macintosh backup program "MedNotesLink" which can be multiuser.
