æ æ FlashCard 2.0 beta FlashCard is a software memorization tool aimed at people in a scholastic environment, particularly people who would like to learn another language or memorize equations, definitions, symbols, or dates. Using FlashCard is an excellent way to prepare for a test. You can quiz yourself using both recall and recognition memory models. FlashCard provides both multiple-choice and flip style quizzes. FlashCard gives you a fast, fun way to review repetitive material and is easy to use. Getting Started This version of FlashCard is a beta preview of FlashCard 2.0. It will not read nor modify your existing flashCard 1.3 or earlier cards or decks. The final 2.0 version will include utilities to convert these earlier decks to the 2.0 standard. You can run both flashCard 1.3 and FlashCard 2.0 beta concurrently on your Newton. FlashCard 2.0 beta requires Newton OS 2.0 or later. Troubleshooting The beta version of FlashCard 2.0 has some difficulties with repeat print previews. To print a card or deck, 1. Tap the corresponding action button and choose "Print". 2. Tap "Preview" to check the printed image. 3. Close the Preview and the Print slip. 4. Repeat Step 1. 5. Tap "Print". If you encounter other problems with the FlashCard 2.0 beta, please send us a complete description of the problem and how to reproduce it, including if possible: - Whether FlashCard 2.0 beta was in Edit or Quiz mode. - Whether you are using a PC RAM card or not. - Which version of the Newton OS you have.
