* What is it?
---------------------------------------------------------------------
	Frogs vs. Cars is a game in which you take on the role of a frog trying to cross a busy street, and then navigate across a swiftly flowing river. You have to avoid being smooshed by speeding cars and trucks, and then leap from log to log (or turtle, or alligator) and finally to safety in one of the niches at the top of the screen.

	You'll have 4 lives in which to do this, and the Newton will save your 10 high scores.	

Rocks in Space is based off of a classic arcade game.  Destroy rocks with
your spaceship or get destroyed.

Birds with Lances is a gae where you take on the role of the pilot of a bird
with a lance, and you must fight enemies in a tournament.		

* What's in this archive?

	There is one Newton software package and two text files in
this archive. They are:
	* ArcadePack.txt	document you're now reading. 'Nuff said.
	* FrogVCar.pkg	software package you'll install on your Newton.
	* RocksInSpace  software package you'll install on your Newton.
	* BirdsWLances  software package you'll install on your Newton.
	* SAStuff.txt	A list of all Stand Alone products.

* Installing Arcade pack
---------------------------------------------------------------------
	First off, you must get the individual packages onto your
Newton. You can do this using the Newton Connection Utility (for Mac or
Windows), the Newton Package Downloader, or the Newton Backup
Utility. See the documentaion with each of these for more
information on installing packages with them.

* Using Frogs vs. Cars
---------------------------------------------------------------------
	Simply tap in the direction you want your frog alter-ego to jump in. Note that if you tap in a diagonal direction, the frog will jump straight, it cannot jump diagonally (uncoordinated amphibian and all that.)

* Using Birds with Lances

To play a game of Birds with Lances, tap on the opening screen. Your bird will appear at the center bottom of the screen. You can control the bird by tapping on the screen (above the bird flies up, the left side of the screen flies left and the right side of the screen flies right). The object of the game is to kill the other competators without getting killed. The way to do this is by making contact above the other birds. You die when another birds makes contact above you. When a competator gets hit you must also catch his egg when it hits the ground, otherwise a new bird will hatch out to keep competing.

When you get killed, you can continue your game by tapping on the screen. Once you have no more lives a game over message will appear. To play a new game tap on the game over message.

* Using Rocks In Space
---------------------------------------------------------------------
To play a game of Rocks in Space, tap on the opening screen. Your ship will appear in the center of the screen. You can control the ship with the 'control panel' at the bottom of the screen. The object of the game is to shoot the astroids and at the same time avoid the astroids that are flying around the screen.

The easiest way to control your ship is to press on the control panel and drag your pen from control to control. The various controls are (from left to right) shoot, accelerate, rotate left, shoot, rotate right, accelerate, shoot. When you get killed, you can continue your game by tapping on the screen. Once you have no more lives a game over message will appear. To play a new game tap on the game over message.


* Registering Arcade Pack
---------------------------------------------------------------------
	You have a 30 day trial period in which to examine Arcade Pack, 
during which it will function fully. Should you wish to register, 
you'll need to do one of the following:

	* Call us and pay using Visa or Mastercard. We can give you a 
	  password right over the phone: instant gratification!  (312) 477-2492.

	* Send us a check for $34.95 to the address below.
		
	* Using CompuServe, GO SWREG.
	
	However you register, PLEASE be sure to include an email address
(it's not vital, but it will result in MUCH speedier service) and 
your name, as entered in the Owner Info section of your Newton. 
This is used to generate the password we send you to unlock Arcade Pack, 
so it has to be exact.

	Once you register, you will receive a password from us.  Enter this 
password in the selection under the info button.
