To use Graph Paper on a Newton 100, 110, 120/1.3, or Original MessagePad, please download version 1.0 of Graph Paper. * What's it do? --------------------------------------------------------------------- Graph Paper adds a piece of Stationery to the NotePad. You can create a new piece of Graph Paper by tapping the "New" button in Notes. * What's in this archive? --------------------------------------------------------------------- There are three Newton software packages and three text files in this archive. They are: * GrfPaper.txt document you're now reading. 'Nuff said. * GrfPaper.pkg software package you'll install on your Newton. * SASReg.pkg software package you'll install on your Newton to enter the password you get when you register Graph Paper. * Register.txt read me file describing the Register software. * Register.pkg software package you can install on your Newton to use Register, which will allow you to pay for Graph Paper via email. * SAStuff.txt A list of all Stand Alone products. * Installing Graph Paper --------------------------------------------------------------------- First off, you must get the Graph Paper software package onto your Newton. You can do this using the Newton Connection Utility (for Mac or Windows), the Newton Package Downloader, or the Newton Backup Utility. See the documentaion with each of these for more information on installing packages with them. * Using Graph Paper --------------------------------------------------------------------- Graph Paper is NotePad Stationery. You can manipulate a piece of Graph Paper just as you would a normal note (for printing, faxing, and beaming.) There are a few controls relevant to Graph Paper: “ęConstrain Printing If this box is checked, then when the Note is printed, the shapes and text will be limited to the width of the Newton's screen (rather than the size of the printer page. “ęLine Spacing This picker determines the amount of space between the graph rules. * Registering Graph Paper --------------------------------------------------------------------- You have a 30 day trial period in which to examine Graph Paper, during which it will function fully. Should you wish to register, you'll need to do one of the following: * Call us and pay using Visa or Mastercard. We can give you a password right over the phone: instant gratification! (773) 477-2492. * Send us a check for $10 to the address below. * Using CompuServe, GO SWREG. * Using Flash Sheridan's Register program (enclosed in the Graph Paper archive) and a mail package (such as Aloha or CIS Retriever). Open up Register, fill in the application (Graph Paper:SAS), the amount ($10), and your credit card information, and email it. However you register, PLEASE be sure to include an email address (it's not vital, but it will result in MUCH speedier service) and your name, as entered in the Owner Info section of your Newton. This is used to generate the password we send you to unlock Graph Paper, so it has to be exact. Once you register, you will receive a password from us. To use it, install the SAS Register package (also enclosed in the Graph Paper archive), select "Graph Paper" from the pop up menu at the top, and enter the password. You should get a message confirming the password.
