The Beasts of Tarzan - by Edgar Rice Burroughs. "The Beasts of Tarzan" was originally published in 1914. As the rich Lord of Greystoke, Tarzan's family had become the victims of kidnappers!  His son kidnapped, his wife abducted, and Tarzan marooned on a deserted island.  With the help of his animal brothers, Tarzan began his escape...but the trail was growing older. The first six books in the "The Jungle Tales of Tarzan" are a collection unto themselves called "The Early Years of the Ape Man."
