run Geek Safe Cleaner.  Tap both buttons to remove your old
preferences and convert your Geek Safe soup to a v1.0-

Introduction

Geek Safe v1.0 is a small, elegant package that keeps track
of passwords, serial numbers, account numbers, and the like.
The cautious and the paranoid can secure Geek Safe itself
with a PIN.  Even with built-in help and many new features,
this full- release version of Geek Safe remains lean -- only
30k.

v1.0 adds a "demo mode" button to hide sensitive data, an
improved overview layout, help screens, a new "collapsable"
text area for notes, and more.  Also, this version of Geek
Safe fixes several issues with MP120's and MP130's.

Geek Gas is free.  If you'd like to do something nice for
the author, please consider sending him a postcard from your

The current plan for future development of Geek Safe is to
develop two separate products, one freeware and one shareware:

Geek Safe is and will always be free.

Geek Safer (Geek Safe+?  Geek Really Safe?  I'm open to
suggestions) will be a cheap ($10?) package with all the
functionality of Geek Safe, plus several security-specific
features.  These features will include soup encryption, PIN
storage in soup (not prefs), unsuccessful (and successful) PIN
entry notification, auto-close after [n] minutes, and more.

I imagine that for most users Geek Safe will serve very well,
especially since encryption algorithms and other security
add-ons will cause the package size to balloon somewhat.  But
if there are users who need added security and who wouldn't
mind shelling $10 if such is provided adequately, then I
would be happy to go on to work on "Geek Safer" and add these
features.
