Geek Gas Basics

Geek Gas is designed to keep entry steps to a mimimum.
To that end, after making your initial entry, the date
and your previous odometer reading are pre-filled in
subsequent entries.  Additionally, your current
odometer reading is estimated according to a user-set
preference.  For most entries, then, there are three
short steps:

1. Adjust the current odometer reading, if necessary.
2. Scribble in the amount of gas you just pumped.
3. Tap the Geek Gas Can to calculate your gas mileage.

"This Tank" displays the gas mileage for the current
entry only.  "To Date" calculates the gas mileage
through the current entry.  Ergo, the "To Date" field
for the last entry will display your overall gas
mileage.  Scanning the "To Date" field in your other
entries can give you a good idea of how your cumulative
gas mileage fluctuates over time.

The overview displays each entry's gas mileage, date,
time, number of miles/kilometres, and amount of gas.

There are two preferences:

* Default miles/km per tank:  This value is added to
the odometer reading for your last fillup to estimate
the odometer reading for your current fillup.

* Use Metric:  Check this box to display metric units,
and to calculate l/100km rather than mpg.
