Word-Processing View User Interface
Word-processing views can display the ruler, which shows the user the current formatting settings. When the ruler is displayed, it always appears at the top of the view, as shown in Figure 3-1.Figure 3-1 The displayed ruler
Note that the ruler does use screen space, which means that it reduces the size of the scrollable rectangle in the view. The size adjustments are made automatically when you display or hide the ruler with the*protoTXView:*ShowRuler
and *protoTXView:*HideRuler
methods.
