SCRIPTING & APPLICATIONS
Part 2 of 5
MRUPick - This is a demonstration of Pickers with items based on the
most recent usage. It is like an interactive tutorial. The demo can be stopped at any
time. So, check it out and learn more!
Multipickproto 1.0 - This is a proto I put together to deal with the
problem of picklists that are longer than 25 items. (For use with the Newton Toolkit, a
commercial program from Apple). It's all fully documented within the proto, but in case
you're interested, there is also info in the read me. This proto is freeware for free- and
shareware apps, with one caveat - If you use it in a piece of software, send the author a
copy.
With NewtDevEnv, Newton users may develop
applications using NewtonScript and save the resulting packages directly on the Newton.
Although Apple's Newton ToolKit has become available for free, Newt 3.4 allows for
portable or more direct prototyping. See Steve Weyer's website for registration info
and complete documentation. Credit: Steve Weyer
NS Basic's NewtCard helps Newton users build
small and medium-sized databases interactively, with enough functionality that for all
practical intents and purposes, they're programs (or packages). NewtCard delivers almost
all the functionality of the original HyperCard for the Macintosh on the Newton MP2000,
MP2100, or eMate 300. If you'd like to see NS Basic's NewtCard in action, their demo is
now available. Credit: NS Basic Corp.
NewtATut (Newt Application Tutorial) is an
interactive tutorial that shows how you can develop a simple application in NewtonScript
directly on your Newton using Newt. Revisions to NewtATut 1.6 (16 Feb 98) include minor
content, URL updates. Note: to avoid highlight anomalies for links split across
pages, be sure to use Newt's Cape Lite 1.6b (included) or Newt's Cape regular version 1.6b
(or later) Credit: Steve Weyer.
Newt Turtle Tutorial - NewtTurT
is a turtle tutorial that shows how you can use Newt for turtle-style graphics using the
NewtDraw plug-in. Revisions to NewtTurT 1.6 (16 Feb 98) include minor content, URL
updates. Note: to avoid highlight anomalies for links split across pages, be sure to
use Newt's Cape Lite 1.6b (included) or Newt's Cape regular version 1.6b (or later)
