B5Sounds is an extension for your 2.0 Newton
which adds some of my favorite sound clips from the award-winning show Babylon 5. Now you,
too, can have a Newton which chirps, beeps, and sounds just like your favorite character
(well, two of them, anyway) on Babylon 5! This package has been tested and works on the
Apple Newton MessagePad 120 and 130, along with the Harris CDA 2.0. Install the
packages containing the sounds you'd like to add using your favorite package installer on
either the internal store or a RAM card. In the Extras drawer, find the Prefs
application (usually under the Setup folder) , and select either the Sound or Alarm item,
depending on which sound you'd like to change. Touch the diamond next to either Alert
Sound or Alarm Sound, and select a sound. Credit: Ray Rischpater, Lothlorien.
This package adds sounds, built in to the Newton,
to the list of sounds you can use. Like the Extras opening, an item getting trashed, the
hilite sound and more. Credit: Tactile Systems, Inc.
This package contains Chat sounds used in our
ChatBuddy IRC client. The sounds are currently swiped from Ircle, a great IRC program for
Mac. Credit: Tactile Systems, Inc.
eWorld Sounds contains all of the sounds from
eWorld. A trip down nostalgia row! Credit: Tactile Systems, Inc.
Hal Sounds contains sound clips of 'Hal' talking
from the movie 2001. Credit: Tactile Systems, Inc.
Mac Sounds contains the basic set of Macintosh
System 7 sounds. It's also nice if you are chatting with Mac users and want to hear the
sounds they are playing. Credit: Tactile Systems, Inc.
